Course Syllabus:
This seminar is designed to educate auditors in crisis and disaster management plans and how to audit them. While a business continuity plan covers the business process recovery, disaster management includes incident stabilization and protection of human life. Board and audit committees need assurance that such a plan will work when the need arises. The first few hours after a crisis can make the difference between successful or unsuccessful crisis management. Since business continuity management and crisis management are related, there are about 30 plus teams which need to be activated to handle different aspects of crisis. Auditing the establishment and training of those teams becomes very important.
