Course Syllabus:
It is becoming increasingly important for financial auditors and operational auditors to understand or even perform IT auditing to support end-to-end assurance (also called Integrated Auditing).  Such an audit function, if split between IT and non-IT auditors, does not give a comprehensive picture for the entire business process. However, most of the financial and operational auditors may not, and usually do not, have an IT background.

This training course is for individuals preparing to take the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Exam who have little or no IT background. There will be detailed and extensive discussion of IT aspects of auditing keeping in mind that the audience has no IT background. In this course, professionals will learn the 6 Content Areas as determined by ISACA:

  • IS Audit Process
  • IT Governance
  • Systems and Infrastructure Lifecycle Management
  • IT Service Delivery and Support
  • Protection of Information Assets
  • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.

Having audit experience is the prerequisite to take the class or the exam; however, in order to apply for the certification, you must meet the necessary experience requirements as determined by ISACA.
